DESCRIPTION

Japan Travel is a leading media publisher for tourism information on Japan doubled as an online travel agency, crafting hundreds of tailor-made experiences through Japan for all travelers around the world. Japan Travel represents a one-stop experience that provides all the information and tools to discover, plan, and book a trip to Japan.

  • This job is a full-time placement at 40 hours per week

  • The start date will ideally be summer 2025 (as early as June)

  • Our office is based in Tokyo, and we are looking for a hybrid work experience with availability for at least two days in the office per week

  • Salary expectations should be in the range of 4.5 ~5.6 MM JPY, depending on experience

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Project Planning & Initiation:

    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

    • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.

    • Create comprehensive project documentation, including charters, risk assessments, and communication plans.

  • Project Execution & Control:

    • Assign tasks to team members, optimizing resource utilization based on skills and expertise.

    • Manage project timelines, track progress, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.

    • Conduct regular project meetings to facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

    • Monitor project budgets and work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial tracking.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communication, both internally and externally.

    • Maintain clear and concise communication channels to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.

    • For large projects, participate in client kickoff meetings to review project schedules and provide an overview.

  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:

    • Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards.

    • Analyze project performance, identify areas for improvement, and refine project management processes for enhanced efficiency.

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintain organized and up-to-date project folders and boards within the project management system.

    • Document project management processes and guidelines for internal use.

    • Oversee project financials, monitor budgets, and ensure accurate accounting.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Business-level Japanese and English (written and verbal proficiency)

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Proficient in project management tools and software

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
